After 30+ years in technical design and apparel production around the world for major USA and Canada retailers, who would have thought I'd end up sewing for boats, not fashion models.
In 2020, our new to us 1987 Searay 360 AFT Cabin became my sewing muse. Buying that vintage live aboard yacht would launch a new career among COVID 19 shutdowns - Marine Sewing!
Cushions, covers, and screen rooms, oh my!
I started stitching at the boat yard. People watched as they headed to their docks.
Some stopped to chat and hired me for small jobs.
Which turned into big jobs.
Which turned into my retirement plan!
If it is made from fabric, I can build it. And let me tell you, I love marine sewing - boats are a lot easier to fit than fashion models - and they never gain weight or change shape!
